DD has always been a loose stool kind of baby. At first, I attributed this to being exclusively BFed. Then she started on solids and I saw her stool solidify a lot. I think she was "constipated" once in her life, but generally, her stool is always rather loose.
In the past week though, she's clearly had diarrhea. It's very liquidy and sometimes like water. At daycare, her diaper overflowed and they had to change her pants. The first day, she complained of a belly ache, but after that, nothing. One of the earlier stools was very dark, but usually it's the normal poop color.
I see no behaviour change. She's her usual happy self. She always loved drinking lots and lots of liquid, so when we got worried, we switched her grape juice with Pedialyte. She had some but right away decided it was gross. She still loves to drink soy milk, water (LOTS), and juice. We changed her diet somewhat to focus more on rice and pasta and protein, which is always her favourite anyhow, and veered her away from cheese and certain fruits/veggies. She doesn't drink milk or eat yoghurt.
It's been a whole week and she STILL has diarrhea. There's no irritation down there. She's eating normally, sleeping very well, drinking lots, and acting normal. So what's up?
I can't really take her to a doctor because since we moved to my parents, she's got no pediatrician. I have no GP right now either, and I don't want to sit in a clinic waiting room for 4 hours with a toddler only to be told that nothing's wrong...
