Flame Retardants in Brestfriend

Thread Starter
I just received a Brestfriend nursing pillow and was bummed to see it has flame retardants. Does anyone know how to detox this pillow the best possible? Is there a way to eliminate some of the toxins from the flame retardants? I even thought about wrapping the foam in some type of plastic...

Thanks!

You might ask the manufacturer what kind. They're required, but some put in a layer of flame retardant material instead of coating it with chemicals.

I'm super sensitive, so I buy used articles like this, then hit them with a steamer to disinfect. Time is the best ally for things that off-gas.

I wouldn't wrap it in plastic, the plastic itself may be worse than the flame retardant material.
