Help! Is this an allergic reaction?

I posted earlier about us giving DD avocado for the first time yesterday. I gave her more today and after her nap she woke up completely fine at first, but when I was changing her she started screaming crying and wouldn't open one of her eyes. It was all red and watering. The other one was just fine. Since it was so sudden I was thinking maybe she just got herself with her fingernail or something? But it keeps watering (just the one eye.) And she kind of seems to have a little bit of a runny nose- nothing really obvious but I've just noticed it's a little wet under her nose?

I'm going to stop the avocado just to be safe, but is there anything else I need to do or watch out for? This whole allergy thing makes me so nervous!

We just took her temperature and she has a slight fever (99 degrees). Now I'm going to worry all night about her after we put her to sleep!

That sounds more illness than allergic.
