Dairy freak out :(

FIL gave ds1 (3.5) a bowl of cereal with milk this weekend and we have been suffering the consequences. As I'm sitting here crying, listening to him have the hugest freak out ever (with DH up in his room) I am wondering; is there anything I can do to help the dairy/toxins move out of his system sooner? It's never lasted this long (6 days) but he's never eaten that much dairy before either. He's a mess.

I think someone on this forum gives their child(ren) clay when they have an accidental ingestion.

Maybe Epsom salt baths? They detox AND move things along through/out the colon. And they're calming.

Lots and lots and lots of vitamin C. And we use pascalite clay as well, but it's harder to find if you need something immediately.

I wonder if digestive enzymes would help? I wish I had a link to offer, but I have only heard of them in the gfcf group I belong to and not sure what the names are.

I've used clay after accidental contamination of DS. It kept his reaction to 1 day instead of 3.

Thank you all! Where do you buy pascalite clay? And what do you mean by "doing" clay. Do they eat it?

I can't remember if my clay is Bentonite or Pascalate, but I got mine at Whole Foods. It's liquid. It's like 1 Tbs. in 6 oz. of water, and they drink it.

I've also been using it on DD2's humongous bug bites, and it's the only thing that stops the itching. It makes them go down in size pretty quickly too.

I use Bentonite clay. I bought it at a local health food store, but I think you can also find it at whole foods. like someone else mentioned, but didn't stop the reaction in it's tracks, but it definitely lessened the reaction and shortened the duration of it significantly. It's in a liquid form and is pretty much flavorless. they do need to drink alot of water when using it though.
