Hi, I'm hoping to get some help from those of you who may know the answer to any of my concerns. I'm a new member so I hope this forum is active and full of supportive women...I don't know where else to turn to, am in the process of my first IUI. Here's my situation:
On cycle day 3 I had an ultrasound and bloodwork done, was told everything looked good. I had never tried to conceive before and now that I am I want to do it with a donor IUI. I was put on Clomid (last week). Yesterday I had an u/s on CD 11 and even though I had 20 follicles on CD3, I had only 2 yesterday measuring 12 and 13mm. Today (at 5:30PM) on CD12 and I tested positive for ovulation and the nurse wants to do the IUI tomorrow 8am. I'm scared my follicles are too small.
My last cycle was 39 days - they're usually 37-39 days so I feel I am ovulating too early maybe due to the Clomid which I don't know if I needed in the first place. I had purchased the trigger shot but the nurse said since I have an LH surge I don't need to trigger. I was hoping the trigger would help the follicle grow. I feel like it might be a waste doing the IUI. Am I overreacting and should just follow instructions? Or should I cancel the IUI? I'm supposed to do another u/s tomorrow ($250/pop). Any thoughts? Anything I should ask the nurse before proceeding?
