Help washing wool!

I'm new to wool. When I lanolize it I make a cup or so of boiling water, lansinoh lanonlin, and drop/squirt of Dr.Bronners. I take that and mix it with luke warm water in sink.

The problem is that the lanolin then sticks to the sink basin and doesn't seem to really get a lot on the wool. Anybody else have this issue? Is there a better way to lanolize?

Also, to make recycled longies/soakers, what is your experience of using sweaters with 80/20 blend of wool/nylon?

thanks!

I do it in a big plastic bowl. Also I don't do boiling water - just tap hot water in a jar with a dot of soap and an inch of lanolin. Close and shake til mixed. Fill bowl with warm water, add jar mixture, stir, then add wool.

I bet the shock of boiling water into lukewarm water is causing the lanolin to precipitate out in globs.
