Injured nipple. Topical cream?

Thread Starter
So my 14mo chomped down HARD on my nipple the other day and now it H.U.R.T.S. to nurse on that side. Is there any topical numbing cream I can apply on it until it heals? I was thinking if the Hyland's teething gel works on gums (and is obvsly safe to ingest), will it work on my nip?

Please

I came here for almost the exact same question. My son didn't bite me, but he is teething and my nipples are killing me. I was also thinking about using the hylands teething gel, but wasn't sure if it was safe. I was trying to figure out what they would have used for back in the day and thought maybe chamomile. Then I thought about using the teething gel. Have you tried it yet? I think I'm going to try it. If I do I will let you know if it works.

Our sons are the same age too.
