Need birthday present ideas for 5 yr old boy. I've never met him but know his parents are mainstream and fairly well off. I can spend 20 dollars. I only have a hour so shopping is limited to toysrus. Thanks for the help.

I think all things educational and building were a BIG hit and had longest lasting thrill for DS on his 5th. The Dinosaur Encyclopedia, the wooden track additions to his collection of wooden railroad pieces (he spends hours building tracks) large sized lego like building blocks, activity books. He loves his Phonics flash cards, too...and MARKERS (the washable kind) I got him this set of Crayola markers with double ends and a pad of blank white paper, and he just LOVES them.
