I had my baby this morning :) :)

After a quick and intense labour my little girl was born in water at 3:38 am. I woke up at midnight with a sore back but up until 2ish wasn't sure it was the real thing. My DH convinced me to get the M/W to come and she got here between 3 and 3:15. I got in the tub soon after she arrived (when she told me I was 8 cm dilated) and my baby pushed her way in to the world soon after. It was an awesome experience to be home. (I think even more so after the scare of c-section and footlig breech) We have all had a chance to sleep and get to know eachother. My other two kids slept through it all and were pleasantly surprised to wake up to a baby girl in the house

Congratulations, mama! That's the exact time my youngest daughter was born. In fact, your birth sounds almost exactly like mine. Woke up around 1:00 a.m., finally called the midwife around 2:30, and she made it here about 20 minutes before the baby came. Born in the water at 3:38 -- you and I could be birth twins.

Thanks everyone It was really great. After having had two hospital births I think i have even more of an appreciation for homebirth than I thought I would. It was so nice to be in my own bed and just left to bond with my family and the new baby. Although since I never realized how far I was I would never had made it to the hospital anyway... isn't it perfect how life works out?
