Labor playlist suggestions?

I'm putting together a playlist for this labor, and thought I'd tap into your excellent minds and see what music you have used or are planning to use. Last time I only listened to one song, over and over- Boadicea by Enya. Would prefer that type of thing- deep, slow songs. Whattcha got?

I went deep and spiritual and new agey for my first birth and a lot more easy listening stuff with rhythm for my second birth. My mind was in a different place the second time around, I don't think I could've enjoyed the same kind of music birthing for the second time.

This time I imagine I'll be putting together something I can sing along to, something that has oooos and aaaaahs and low oooooahs And something I could dance a little to. Sink into the rhythm of music while I relax and sway the baby out.

I have a playlist of about 150 songs in alphabetical order. I suspect I'll want one song over and over again, but I don't know whether I'll want it to be something to sing to, something mellow, something chanty, something deep or something cheesy.

Deep slow songs I have include many, many from Buddha Lounge (which I used when I taught yoga), To Every Captive Soul (from Hannibal's soundtrack), Tracy Chapman, Yo-Yo Ma and Amon Tobin.

(I also have Baby Got Back, Barbie Girl and Rehab on the other end. It's quite an eclectic collection!)

I am more of the dance/sing along type and I did. I'm guessing I gave the L&D nurses a giggle with my grooving around the hallways singing ABBA I did have some hymns and classical for when I needed something a little more mellow but when I had the music going I was mainly listening to the upbeat stuff. About 45 minutes before he was born I was done with music completely-couldn't handle the addt'l sensory input.

This was my playlist for Max:

Last time I wound up playing the majority of 'Memory of Trees' (Enya) album over and over and over. I kept (in frustration) skipping the other stuff I had programed. I was thinking I'd want praise and worship stuff, but it totally annoyed me in labor. . This time I have a praise and worship playlist and an exclusively Enya playlist...we'll see what I wind up wanting.
