What HPT has a really high sensitivity?

I'm pregnant, but still super early. I can't get in to be seen by my doc until the second week of August and I think I might go a little nuts waiting that long. So I was wondering if there are still any store brands that measure for an HCG result of 50 or 100 or even more or if they are around 25 now. I think it might reassure me a little to get a + on a test that I know isn't sensitive at all.

Is there a walk in lab where you could pay for a beta?? I just keep using my ICs and they are getting darker. Don't stress!

I could, but I think it costs around $50. I only have one IC left and they have been giving me the absolute worst faint lines you've ever seen, even though I got a nice clear line on a FRER yesterday and a positive digi the day before that. I might get some dollar store tests and watch them get darker...

You're right karma. I just think that IC was messing with my mind. I also had the second digital that was in the package. I took it, it said pregnant, just like the first one did 2 days ago. I then cracked them both open and compared lines, and today's was easily twice as dark as the other day's. I think I needed to see that progression.

I'm going to save the IC for several more days so I can see a dark line. Or maybe just pee on it today so it is used up and I don't have any more and can't stress myself out!

If you got a bfp digi, you are pregnant. You shouldn't need anything else! They don't lie!

I'm pretty sure there is a test by a maker, not sure if it is ept or frer or who, but it is called a 'certainty' test that measures 100 or so. I agree with the other ladies though, just sit back and enjoy!

I think the digitals are the least sensitive.

I understand completely. A few Christmas's back I left town the day after I got my bfp so I couldn't go in to get my levels checked.

I had to monitor my levels as best I could with urine tests. Pretty much what I did was use the same brand of test every morning and compaired the line darkness. I knew within a few days things weren't kosher because the lines were not getting darker and by about day 5 it had actually started to fade a little so I knew my levels were dropping.

I think it won't matter what test you use so long as you use the same brand. You can just watch and compare your lines.

I know a few ppl are gonna get pissed at this advice because with POAS's there is not really anything to let you know for sure things are ok or bad. It can only be used to establish the presence of hcg in your urine. But I just know what you are going through with needing to know and be reassured.

Good luck to you and hope you see some darker lines in the coming days.

But BTW, so far as I have experienced digital tests seem to be the least sensative.

I used the equate from walmart to test on when I was monitoring though.

Thanks Mae, and everyone. I know I'm pregnant. I've never miscarried, so maybe it is just because I'm older now and I have so many friends that have had losses. Since I can't get in to the doc (although I suppose I could call on Monday or Tuesday to request betas) I just wanted to kind of check on things myself. And then the internet tests being so darn light, even the one today, made me a bit nervous.

I did go ahead and POAS with the last IC, and surprisingly, finally, got a decent looking line! So hat combined with the inside of the digi made me feel a lot better. I think I'm going to relax now.
