Hi ladies I need some quick help! DH and I DTD tonight, and it was a little painful, and I had some spotting/bleeding afterwards. It was pink/reddish, not brown at all. Is this something I should be immediately worried about? Of course it is a Holiday Weekend.... I am thinking about putting a call into my Midwife (she keeps a pager on her for emergencies) if it is serious.... Also, I have been very sore after sex during most of my pregnancy. Is this normal? I did not have this with DS1's pregnancy. Thanks Mamas!

unless the bleeding continues and/or gets worse...or you suddenly feel a gush of fluid or strong contractions, I would not rush to an ER.
What I WOULD do, however, is put myself on strict pelvic rest and restrict my activity (no running 2 miles or anything... most everyday activities should be fine) until I can see the midwife to okay everything (I actually went through this at 26 weeks. Turned out the sex + stress was the entire cause, but my placenta was located near the cervix so we were worried about that, plus any bleeding does need to be told to your midwife about)
Of course, when you can call her, let her know you put yourself on pelvic rest and ask if she thinks its okay to come off it.
(basically all pelvic rest is is do not have sex. Its also do not put anything up inside of you like a tampon also but I think that is sort of obvious at this point)

I would be willing to bet that your hubby managed to irritate your cervix to the point it started to bleed. Not on purpose of course! The cervix is much more delicate and there is a lot more blood flow in that area during pregnancy. Many ladies have the EXACT thing happen. I wouldn't panic! I would probably just let the midwife know just so she's in the loop. She'll probably tell you it's nothing, but hey, at least she knows!! KWIM?? I hope this helps!

For anyone else who wonders, my MW explained (this was a common problem for me... ahem):
Like everything else (this is why you get a stuffy nose) your cervix is a little more vascular. So light pink/salmon colored blood afterwards is not usually a sign of anything wrong.
And I also had to be careful as I got farther along to keep things as gentle as possible as it can get more uncomfortable as your uterus expands
