preventing a scar

Our 12 month old son scratched his face about a week ago. The mark has faded a little but I'm wondering if there is an ointment that might reduce the mark???? Thanks

Dd had stitches over her eyebrow and 2-3 months later we started putting Quantum Derma scar reducer on it. We got it from Whole Foods. It's helped the scar to fade, so we're continuing to use it. We also put it on all her fresh scratches and they are healing up nicely. Make sure to shield the scab from the sun, since that can cause scarring.

My father rolled a rail and had stitches all over his face. We used lavender and frankincense essential oils on his face and we've all been amazed at how quickly they healed--no scarring!

I've also heard to try to keep it covered from the sun for as long as possible to aid healing...HTH!
