Ha!
Before my babe was born I told my husband that I planned to breastfeed as long as possible minimum 1 year preferably much longer. He did an uncomfortable squirm and didn't like when toddlers were nursing. That's just too old, apparently.
Months later, and much more information later, we had the discussion that native cultures who lived in our area didn't have baby cereal, etc. "What did they do? They must have nursed for quite a long time. I'm sure they didn't spend all day making purees and such. They must have breastfed for quite a while!"
Now he's totally behind it. If only I could convince the rest of the family...
