Hotel Waterbirth???

Anyone here planning or have ever taken their own "birth tub" to a hotel to birth? I'm thinking of doing it, cheaper than a "whirlpool suite".

This just seems like a bad idea because of germs? I would rather birth in my own home amongst my own homemade germs If you were going to give birth in the hotel I'd have to do some serious cleaning before just because

What about renting a condo or something? Like a little cabin, or a condo or something?

Would you mind sharing why you want to do this? Is it closer to a hospital? That's never even crossed my mind, but I suppose I would do it if I wasn't so close to a hospital already.

A poster on another board I am a member of took her birth tub and had her baby in a hotel. She lost power in her home and they just went to the hotel. Midwife and all. Everything was fine.

Another friend of mine had her twins unassisted in a hotel next to the hospital, JIC anything happened. Not a waterbirth but everything was fine there too.
