My kid's in his own bed (again)

Just continuing our years-long saga. At 3-something my son started sleeping in his own (floor) bed. Then he came back in with us mid-night most nights and gradually came back into the big bed. Then he went back into his bed. Then he had appendicitis and decided his bed was a Place of Pain so came back in with us. We bought him a new bed this weekend (a frame, so off the floor) and he decided to try it and is sleeping there.

We'll see what happens next. But I know I'll miss him tonight. He'll be 5 in August.

Mine's turning six and is in the process of moving on from my bed too. It's sad to have her leaving, but neat to watch her growing up.
