Just thought i'd ask if anyone here has any ideas. Not a big deal if nobody responds.
A couple weeks ago, my Dad's leg became red, hot to the touch and super painful. He lives an hour away (by himself) so when he told me about it on the phone I sent him to the ER right away, thinking a blood clot. Turned out it was some sort of infection but the doctors had no idea from what. It cleared up in about a week with some strong antibiotics.
Fast forward to the other day and my sister goes to visit my Dad. She spends on night there and the next day her leg has the exact same red and painful spot in the exact same place. Literally exactly the same.
What could this be. The spot was on the inside of their lower leg, right above the ankle. It took up about half of the lower leg, so from above the ankle to halway to the knee.
Also, my sister thinks it could have something to do with their immune systems. She is pregnant and he is an 70yo diabetic.
I'm scared to take my kids there and we love it there.
Also, he has two dogs but has had them for years now. He is not a very clean person anymore(
hard for me to say that) and he gardens a lot.
Any ideas?
I'm gonna bring the dogs to the vet to be checked and have some people in to clea his place up but am still worried.
