Help! How do I get my website up and running?

I just bought a domain name, and when I tried to install wordpress on it, failed miserably. I've come to the conclusion that, apart from paying for the domain name, I also need to pay for hosting. I bought my domain from godaddy, and I am using a mac.

Is there any mama here who knows how I will succeed in the end?

Yup, you will also need a host. GoDaddy, where you have your domain, has cheap hosting. Get the host (linux, it will give you the choice of windows or linux there) and once the host is set up you will need to associate it with the domain. Instead of trying to figure it out, they have good customer service and if you call they can do that part for you. Don't stress yourself out, lol.

Once you have that done then when you log into the hosting management area there is a automatic install for the wordpress stuff under thier addons. It will do all the installation for you. GoDaddy is a bit more confusing than most, but its a good price. And if ou have any issues thier customer support will usually just do it for you, lol.
