I've been through the cookbook sticky -- can anyone recommend a favorite Indian vegan or vegetarian cookbook? And your favorite recipes from it?

Dino is South Indian and those flavors highly influence his cooking, although it's not all he does : Alternative Vegan

I love this website-- although it's mostly south indian food. If anyone knows a blog for north indian food that would motivate me to get off my pregnant butt and get in the kitchen-- please let me know!

I also like anything by Madhur Jaffrey, who has a vegetarian book:

Also, I love The Art of Indian Vegetarian Cooking (the Devi book), but it doesn't use garlic or onions. I often add onions and occasionally garlic when I cook out of that book.

I love the Madhur Jaffrey books as well - World Vegetarian is my favourite - it has recipes from a few countries in it, not just India. She has written some Indian cookbooks too.
