Antibiotics in the 2WW?

I have a dr's appointment tomorrow for two different things. One is a skin thing that I think I'll need a abx for and I have a wicked sinus infection with an ear infection coming on. I KNOW the dr will probably want to do a round of antibiotics and that makes me a tad nervous. But I am miserable. What to do?

We aren't really all out TTC'ing right now but we weren't careful last week and there's a chance I could be preggers. Not likely given my history with infertility but it could happen.

I am wondering the same thing. I also have a sinus infection, and conjunctivitis. Decided to start antibiotics this morning because I was miserable. We'll see...

Are you okay with taking amoxicillan? it is generally regarded as safe in pregnancy. No extensive studies have been done but given that it is used quite often and no connection to miscarriage or birth defects have been found, it should be okay to take.

I have had to take it 3 times this pregnancy and several times with DD...

If you can wait until AF, I suggest you do. I took Azithromycin very early in my first pregnancy and a mild antibiotic (might have been Amoxicillin) during the TWW of my second. Both ended in miscarriages. I definately blame the first miscarriage on the anitibiotics, I'm not sure about the second one.

I had a uti last month 3dpo, and told the dr we were ttc, and she gave me a antibiotic that was for pregnant gals

Sure enough she prescribed Keflex 250mg for me. I have a vaginal cyst that is inflamed. She said it's doesn't look infected yet but it's at risk. I'm not sure what to do. I think I'm going to have it filled and keep a close eye on the cyst to see how it's doing. I'm not due for af until next Tuesday and I want to try and wait it out. I've had two early miscarriages (both at 5w) and I don't want to risk even a chance of that again!

Like I said there isn't a huge chance I'm pg with my history of infertility but it could happen.
