Good cup for a 5mo?

Thread Starter
My sister is having some orthodontic work done soon and will have to leave her 5mo with a sitter (he'll be 1 week from 6mo by then). Besides a couple tastes of solids, he's EBF (he's VERY eager to eat solids, but she's trying to hold him off until he turns 6mo at the end of the month).

Anyway, she got this cup. Does that look like a good one? She doesn't want anything that is going to interfere with breastfeeding, but he's a very good nurser (20+ pounds already), so I don't think she should be too concerned.

Oh, and water in the cup is okay at this point, correct? She wouldn't be giving him tons, just a bit once a day so that he can practice using it. She's hoping he gets the hang of it before her appointment on the 21st.

Any other advice/personal experience is appreciated. I pumped with DS (who refused any form of sippy cup until 2 years old), so this is foreign territory for me.

We just got ds a Born Free cup as he keeps snatching dd's cup from the table during meals. lol
I'm not able to give further advice as I've never had this issue with any of my other children. Just thought I'd share which cup we're using.
BTW, ds is 6.5mos

We just use/d a regular cup. They can learn just fine how to use an open cup. We never had sippies for dd. We did and do use a water bottle with a sport or sippy top for in the car seat or otherwise on the go.
