Forceful Let Down - Help Please

I have a 10 week old baby and have had a forceful let down since my milk came in. I have tried what seems to be everything. Cold compresses, block feeding, feeding in a reclined position, etc... none of which seem to be helping.
Please help!

I'm going to move this out to the main Breastfeeding forum since it's a fairly common problem. Good luck!

I did some serious block feeding (like 8 hours on one side before switching), and I did pump the breast before feeding him. I think I took off at least 4-6 oz before feeding him. (sounds counter-productive, but helped with the foremilk issue we were having. I did save the milk, but that meant he was getting foremilk exclusively while daddy was feeding him while I was at work).

mint lowers production.
avoid oatmeal - it increases production.

I agree with the longer blocks - I had to do 6-8 hour blocks to tame my OALD.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. The oatmeal was a good piece of advice - I love my oatmeal and granola bars... So those are out now.
I will try the mint.
I was doing 4 hour blocks and went to 3 because I feel like the one side was getting drained and my baby was not getting anything.
And then my other side gets really engorged.
Using cabbage leaves for that.

I nursed literally flat on my back for weeks. And pumping until you let down then putting baby to the breast.
