Visitation/Custody

I already have a thread going on here asking for advice:

http://www.mothering.com/discussions...1#post15592125

But I realized this morning that I want to get the "single parent" perspective on this situation. From reading through the threads on this forum it looks like most of you have gone through this kind of thing already. Cameron's mother is a single parent. I have an admittedly biased point of view as his step-mother, but I suppose it is possible that (as one of the posters in my other thread suggested) she is acting out of fear for her child.

What do you think? Thank you for reading, and please let me know your opinions!

I think you responded to StephandOwen's thread . . . I understand the confusion since I just read her story and it is similar to mine in that she is having visitation issues and has limited time to prepare for a surprise court case. But the details of her case and mine are very different - especially since she is the biological mother with custody and I am a stepparent with visitation!
