Amy, the chances of have an unaffected child is 75%. Once you find out it's a boy it drops to 50/50 depending on whether the boy gets that particular gene from mom or dad. In this case I am the carrier. Unfortunately, in my family, not one male yet has been lucky enough to not be affected.

Plus, I don't know how I would feel about having one with it and one without....
Normal things for other boys like playing football and losing teeth are difficult or not even possible for mine. If I had been given a girl I have no doubt that my life would be easier (along with my childs), with less stress and worry and hospital visits.
