DD is 13mo and has been a pretty good napper. Until recently she would take 2 good naps a day, and she would go down easily (I would put her in the crib and she would fall asleep after 5-10 minutes of babbling). About 6 weeks ago she started resisting naps - by this I mean she would be in her crib playing and babbling for up to an hour before she fell asleep or I got her up. I don't let her cry, she seems pretty content to be in there, but now she's more interested in playing than sleeping.

So this may be the transition from two naps to one - but the funny thing is, the one that she tends to keep is the morning nap. Then she ends up being awake for a very long stretch from about 11am or noon until 7:30 or 8 (sometimes a little later) when she goes down at night. She wakes once or twice at night and usually gets up between 6 and 7 am.

She's got a lot she's working on these days - she's a late bloomer so is still working on perfecting her crawling and pulling to a stand - so that's what I guess it is, but I really think she would benefit from the afternoon nap, even though I can rarely convince her to take it.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
