Rating your energy level from 1 to 10

1 being the lowest and 10 being optimal.

I was wondering where a "healthy" person would be. I know that if I wasn't nursing at night, I'd be 9-10. With frequent night wakings I'm at about 7.5, and I feel this is an "okay" state. I don't feel constantly tired, but I wouldn't mind a nap On the other hand, in the last 8 years I've had many periods of interrupted sleep, so maybe I don't even know anymore how a 10 feels.

Is 7.5 too low for a healthy individual? Can one have interrupted sleep and still function at 9-10? How would you rate yourself?

I'd rate myself around a 5-6 these days. When ds was younger I was more like a 4. I was a zombie (he woke very often). I don't know what the magic answer is, but I'll be watching this thread. I don't think in my entire life I've been anywhere near a 9 or 10 (maybe when I was a kid I guess). I am chronically "lazy" (how I think of myself), but really I just get very low of energy. I get occasionally spurts throughout the day when I dance around with the kids etc, but these are few and far between. I imagine there's something going on (maybe an unknown food sensitivity? other medical issue?) that keeps my energy levels on the low side.

I do think a 7.5 on your scale for a mama who's still nursing at night sounds pretty good!

I think unfortunately I am a 3 or 4 on a good day
I am nursing and barely sleeping at night-never for more than 2 hrs straight for the last 20 months.
Sometimes I don't think I will make it through the day......
7.5 sounds great-Good for you!!!!

For me I would say 8. I have a 4 mo old who wakes a lot at night and two toddlers who periodically do. I have been a 9-10 in the past.
