So proud of dd!!

My 7-year-old is a total hoarder. Her room is stuffed with the cardboard from toilet paper rolls, empty mac & cheese boxes, scraps of paper she can't part with, ripped up packages that toys came in, etc. Not to mention tons of toys!

Periodically, I would go through her room and throw away (or recycle) entire trash bags of what I consider garbage.

Well, this weekend we bought an extra set of shelves for her room, and I dug up some baskets and boxes, and we're organizing everything. ("A place for everything and everything in its place.")

She is super excited and has, on her own, packed up two boxes of toys she no longer needs in her room (but insists we store in the basement "just in case").

And she filled up a whole trash bag with all those paper scraps and old boxes and other stuff like that.

Yay!

We are spending the day organizing and cleaning her room!!

I have a daughter who likes to keep everything so I know just how exciting it is that you daughter is willing to throw stuff out or even pack stuff up!

That's awesome. So then there might be hope for my 6 YO and her million drawings per day!

We finished her room! Still too much stuff, but at least it's all organized stuff.

She did great!

This gives me hope, Greeny. I've got the same kid. I'd love to see pictures. I feel so overwhelmed by DD's room and my entire house. It's hard to come into this forum.
