What is the range of normal blood sugar levels?

Hi, I couldn't find this through searching...

Does anyone know the range of healthy blood sugar levels for random finger prick testing? I'm able to find the ranges for the GTTs but I got a little finger prick device and tested my sugars all day yesterday (before eating, after, 2 hours after) and they were all between 88-112. Is this good?

My midwife is going to do this with me in a month or so but I love data and just wanted to see what my levels are.

Thanks!

ps- I'm on my way to find out the sex of the baby here in 5 minutes!!!! YAY!

Fasting should be under 90. One hour after eating should be under 130.

Yes, that's good. My dh is diabetic and I used to have hypoglycemia issues, so I test randomly with his machine.

Slightly OT but how did you used to be hypoglycemic? Is there anything you did to improve? I am as well, I just make sure to drink OJ after I wake up and to only eat sugary foods if they are accompanied by more stabilizing foods, and never go long times between meals. If you have some good tips, I am all ears. Oh, and what were your glucose levels when you did use the machine?

I still run a little low, but when I was pg with my son and then for a couple years afterwards I had a lot of trouble keeping my blood sugar up. I would test at around 40-60 when I was at work (hospital) with no symptoms. And my fasting blood sugar was like 44 or something. They told me just to eat a lot more though I am a pig, if I may say so. After I had my next child, it just stopped happening. I still run around 90 tops almost every single time which is good, but haven't had any hypo problems in about 5 years now.

Having had GD 2x I can say your numbers look good. I had to have mine at under 120 two hours after eating and fasting (right after you wake in the am- before all food) under 95.

Can I ask why your MW is testing your blood sugars? Is there a worry about GD?

My midwife is not worried about my blood sugar at all. I've been having these weird sensations (anxiety, dizziness, nausea) that I thought were high/low blood sugar and just wanted to rule it out (as I sit here and snack on fruit for the first time in weeks). So it seems like it might just be weird food sensitivities or something.

Thanks for the info ladies!!
