I'm feeling a little overwhelmed on the vaccine and immunology issue...
I've recently read Gumpert's "Raw Milk Revolution" which explained that Pasteur invented vaccines as well... and that both his major inventions are based on "germ theory. This is the idea that microscopic bacteria are responsible for making us sick." In contrast stood the ideas of two other researchers, Antoine Bechamp and Elie Metchnikoff, with a "cell theory" that seems to be along the lines of keeping yourself healthy is the best way to prevent disease.
I would love suggestions for reading to follow up on these ideas, I'm really interested in the science behind this. I'm especially interested in understanding more about the impact of vaccines on our immune system. E.g. does giving a vaccine harm my child's natural immunity overall?
I have other concerns about injecting foreign DNA and heavy metals, but right now I'm particularly concerned about this immunology issue.
Would appreciate book recommendations as well as info. Thanks!
