What/how often 6 mo. eat?

My son is 6 months old and he's ready for food. We are feeding him some rice cereal, some pureed baby food and some table food. I'm just winging it.

I know he can't have honey, but can he have honey flavored graham crackers? He can't have dairy, but can he have yogurt? My husband and I don't have any food allergies and so far he seems fine with what we have given him. (Which is a little sampling of what we eat. He had a taste of spumoni on Fourth of July).

What do you feed your 6 month olds? How much and how often?

Honey and anything with honey in it. Botulism is not killed by baking, so the fears of honey would still exist with any baked good that contains honey.

At 6 mos, my guy was eating maybe once a week. Maybe a bite or two. He was interested, but very little of the food would actually make it into his mouth. Now at 9 mos, he eats anything he can get his hands on, and he decides when he is done.

We don't do any cereals at all - there's no reason to (developmentally), it can cause constipation, and they can't even digest it yet. I just give him a small chunk of whatever I'm eating, or a larger piece if it's something he's going to gnaw on.
