First haircut for 11-month old, where to go get it done?

Needing to do my 11-month old's first hair cut, wondering where to even go for that and who does baby hair?

We are also trying to be very cautious because we don't want a typical boy's cut; we actually want his hair to grow long into the longer styles. So we just need a little shaping so he can grow into that style, not a real "hair cut". How can we find someone who would be able to do that instead of just a regular boy cut all around the head?

If you're trying to grow his hair out to one length, like a person with long hair has, you might want to just trim it yourself. Basically you would trim the back length at his neck but leave the rest alone. That way as it grows out, it appears to be one length, rather than looking like a mullet!

Actually I don't think I know enough of what I'm doing to feel comfortable cutting/trimming his hair myself. I kind of know the style I want his hair to grow into but I don't know where I'd need to cut and where I'd need to keep in order to have that. And I trim must not be a simple trim because his hair is naturally layered and it probably won't look right if I were to cut it straight across the neck.... I need someone to do it for me 'cause I don't know what I'm doing... Any help on how to find baby hair cutter would be great.
