I dyed me up some playsilks! And they look great!

I am a complete textile noob (except for the occasional tie-dye) so this is a great thing. I went to the Dharma store and got some silk blanks (35X35 mostly) and some acid dye (I didn't want to give money to Koolaid). I wanted the colors to be really bright, and they are!! I mixed the orange and green myself and they turned out just like I wanted.

Yay! They look great. Just a word of warning, find a supportive 12-step program because you will become addicted to dyeing everything and thinking about dyeing everything.
"Oh, look at that nice white blouse, I could dye that in some great variegated colors!"

Awww thanks everyone. My kid is having a ton of fun playing with them. Now I just have to figure out how to dye the big one (something X 108) in a rainbow.

Beautiful! The colors age so vibrant! Good luck on the huge rainbow silk, that will look awesome! I can't wait to see it!
