Will monostat ruin my mama cloth?

I need to treat my yeast infection and was planning on using my mama cloth liners at night while using the meds.

Will it ruin my cloth like diaper creams do with diapers?

I've just dealt with this issue. Except it wasn't my cloth pads but my cloth wipes, and the stuff did not wash out! It's been three washes now and I can still see it on there. Mind you, I only wash in cold water so perhaps a hot wash would take care of it?

Well, looking at the list of ingredietns http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...0629&catid=652 it seems that monostat is a water based cream, not an oil based ointment. It should wash out fully without leaving any residues.

IMO, the main thing to watch out for when using cloth pads is to make sure you don't keep on re-infecting yourself from the pads (though you'd need to do this with your underwear anyway.) I remember ironing the crotch of all my underwear AND all my cloth pads in an attempt to kill yeast.

I think I used Canesten, but during the treatment I used sposie pantyliners (still have a few NatraCare ones left over from before the switch). It sure made me appreciate my cloth pads!

And a good idea to treat your undies and cloth pads too. I did liberal vinegar rinses (for laundry) and short soaks (for pads) and put the stuff in the dryer (on hot) which I normally don't do.

Skip the Monostat all together, and insert an Acidophilus Capsule before you go to bed. I use the PB8 brand. It is so much less messier, and works like a charm!
