I'm seeking advice on taking some sort of action against a horrid pediatrician we saw once when my daughter was only a few days old. In a nutshell, the man was completely harsh with our baby in his office, basically ignored me/my questions, ordered up a batch of tests for our baby that we'd already discussed before she was born - then, after we'd left his office and decided to go with another ped and called to tell them such - he actually showed up at our house, and when I opened the door to peek out he had our storm door open and shoved past me into our home!! It was madness!! Our baby was a little jaundiced (as in, a 13 on day 4) and he went ballistic on us, literally yelling at us and accusing us of "making the baby retarded" if we didn't take her to a hospital immediately. It was a completely out of body experience! We asked him to leave but it really shook us up, and after a beautiful, natural homebirth it was just soooo jarring. It is to this day the only thing that has any sort of mar on our experience. I'd also love to warn other women - especially b/c there are not many pediatricians in this area that are friendly to homebirth mamas and his office CLAIMED to be.
So does anyone know where you can report something like this? Or any other action that can be taken?
