Question about sidecarring a crib

How do you keep the crib next to the bed so that the baby doesn't fall between the mattresses?

I used bungee cords to bungee the crib frame to my bed frame. Then I took two pool noodles, cut them to the right length, and slipped them into the space between the side of the crib (stacked on top of each other) and the crib mattress. Does that make sense?

I duct taped the crib to our bed frame...lol...and then I stuffed blankets around the mattress to make sure it was tight and couldn't move. I have also seen others put a flat sheet across the crib and then over to their mattress and tuck it under the opposite side. (does that make sense?) If not I can look for a pic of what I mean.

I jammed the crib between a wall and our bed, so it couldn't move. we used rope at one stage too.

I put my sons crib in between the wall and our bed. I used a board between the crib railing on the wall side and the crib mattress to make sure there were no gaps between mattresses. Works great!
