Rash Help Please ASAP

My 20 month old DD ended up with a rash on her legs. The skin is red with whitish bumps. Almost like a sting would look only large areas of it. She has no fever and is acting normal and has been eating and drinking. I'm of course (first time parent), still concerned. We brought her to the doctor and are sitting here now but they tell us its a 4 hour wait. Please help me figure out what this could be. Thanks in advance.

Since you posted last night, I assume you've gotten an answer by now.

To me, it sounds like it could have been poison ivy or swimmer's itch or something like that.
