In my first pregnancy, I was found to have a very high ANA titer during severe complications of pre-eclampsia, and delivered at 34 weeks. My second pregnancy ended near the end of the first trimester, with a subchorionic hemorrhage, likely due to the positive ANA blood clotting issue. At that point, no one ever recommended anything to me to help. With the loss I saw a wonderful OB/RE who recommended the aspirin therapy.
Ever since, I've taken 81 mg aspirin each day of my life. I have no health issues. My ANA is generally negative or very weakly positive. I take it to avoid any issues if it increases, and to help keep it "dormant". I've avoided pre-e in 4 other full-term pregnancies, delivered healthy babies/healthy placentas, and things look good this time, as well. This is my first time with MW/homebirth care. She asked me when I was advised to discontinue the aspirin with my previous pregnancies, and I can't remember!
Any of you on aspirin therapy during pregnancy? If so, when did you discontinue? All the reading I've done seems to be about 35 weeks...
