I have been really dizzy for two days. I haven't fainted, but the world swims a bit when I move quickly. My vision is also a bit odd - sort of like it takes a minute for my focusing to catch up. Any ideas on what to do? I have been eating well and staying out of the heat.

I wound up with vertigo in my first pregnancy. It was after a head cold, and the ER docs said that some women are more susceptible to it in pregnancy.
It's probably not vertigo, but I thought you should know!
How's your blood pressure?
Stay hydrated, keep out of the heat, and consider calling a nurse who works with your health care provider.
Let us know how it works out.

Are you getting enough water (96+ oz a day?) and protein (80+g/day?)
Another thing is to get your iron levels checked. Anemia can make you feel like this.
Also, low blood pressure like another poster mentioned.
For me, it was protein and water. I thought I was getting enough- I wasn't.
Hope you feel better soon!

All of these ideas are already so great!
I guess I would just say talk to your hcp if you are getting worried. I read that dizziness and blurred vision are common in pregnancy because of the excess blood in your body, but would def bring up any recurring or lasting problems so that you can be (at the very least) reassured that all is well.

Dizzy spells are common, and I am at the same point as you and also having dizzy spells.
However, your post sounds like it's more that just occasional, rather a constant dizziness?
If that's the case, I would suggest calling your HCP, just in case. Like others have mentioned, hydration and blood pressure can be a cause, and you want to make sure that you haven't hit any sort of danger point with either.

Did your MW check your BP? Do you know anyone with a BP cuff so that you can check it, if not?
Last pregnancy when I kept verging towards pre-eclampsia, I had the "call immediately if you have any extreme dizziness or changes in vision" drummed into me, so I immediately think blood pressure.

Also, have you noticed that baby is higher up - i.e. crowding your diaphragm? I have had a lot of light-headedness on & off, combo of low blood pressure, hydration/food, but also gets worse when size changes and my diaphragm has less room. It's sort of an i-can't-get-enough-oxygen feeling.

I checked my BP at the drug store and it was 136/88, which is really high for me, so I went to the hospital (basically b/c my MW is out of town and I didn't have any urine strips) and my urine was fine and my BP went back down to 120/70 when lying down. They said, "It's hot." I am frustrated b/c I eat well, I stay in the a/c, I am so well-hydrated that my urine is colorless, and yet I am dizzy and tired all the time, so something is not right.

Well, hun, tired all the time comes with the point in pregnancy you are in!
However, the dizziness is a little worrisome. At least its not your BP so its not a LOT worrisome and that is good.
When does your MW get back for you to see her?
And is it possible you may be having issues with low blood sugar or an underlying sickness that is only showing up as being tired/dizzy and no fever/headache/etc.?
