March 2011 DDC Roster - Page 5

post #81 of 162

Happy to be here!

Hi,
I'm Alex. I'm due at the end of March with my second, after two losses. It took us 2 cycles to get pregnant this time. I'm 39, live in San Francisco with my husband and 19 month old daughter, and would love to have another homebirth. No preferences or feelings about gender at this point, just want a healthy babe!

* EDD: Online calculator says March 17th

* Name: Crystal

* Age: 31

* Location: Eastern Massachusetts

* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We've been trying since January

* What number child is this for you: Second

* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH and 2 1/2 year old son

* Baby's gender (hopes or guesses): Well...the Chinese Birth Calendar says it should be a girl...but I'd be equally happy with another boy.

* Names you like (& are willing to share): If it's a girl, we're leaning towards Ciara (no middle name yet). If it's a boy, I had no idea. We used our #1 & 2 boy names for my son's first & middle names!

* Birth plans/preferences: I'm aiming for a VBAC. Have to be in the hospital because I'm considered high-risk for another reason, but I'm aiming for an unmedicated birth.

* Blog, website or the like: http://semicrunchymama.wordpress.com/

* Anything else you'd like to share: During my last pregnancy I went by the book...the scary "What to Expect" book. I wound up with a typical intervention-filled labor and was whisked off to the OR. This time around I'm reading different books, and trying to educate myself on natural, drug- and intervention-free childbirth. I'm going to have the support of a doula this time around, and am looking into hypnobabies.

EDD: March 27

I'm Jayray , 30, married 2.5 years with a 1 yo son. We're in NC and weren't exactly trying for another babe. Apparently, we weren't avoiding that much either! I am hoping for a midwife assisted birth center birth--but we are probably moving to another state late in the pregnancy, so I don't know what's going to happen. My aunt thinks I'm having another boy. I'm not so sure.

This isn't a huge deal at all, but when you get a chance could you move my edd to 3/19? After noodling around a little, the 19th is the date we're using. (right now I'm listed as 3/21)

Thanks!

due date change

We had our first ultrasound and it looks like i'll have an extra week of morning sickness that is if i'm lucky enough to be rid of this dreaded symptom as soon as trimester 2 hits.
