Have you tried an enzymatic pet cleaner? With regular cleaners they can still smell it even though you can't and the spot appears clean. I'd get some asap and treat all the areas.

Would it work on ceramic or marble tile?

She is attempting to remark the territory because the dogs scent is there.

Is she peeing in the exact same spot over and over?

If she is, put down some tinfoil so it crinkles when she steps on it. That might help her stop and start going in her box again.

Here are more helpful tips.......

Yes, it's the same spot.

I haven't tried foil, though that's what I've done in the past. My toddler just ends up playing with the foil.

I would try an enzyme cleaner such as Nature's Miracle first. They have a formula made specifically for cats. I find it works better than their regular formula. Make sure to REALLY saturate the area, and let it SIT until it dries on its own. Many people use too little, blot it up, or dry it up, and it simply is not as effective that way.

However, I have had a few instances where the enzyme cleaner didn't work after multiple uses, and I have found that cleaning with oxygen bleach (or a higher concentration of peroxide, like you could buy in a beauty supply store) was what finally cleared the scent. If you buy powdered oxygen bleach, you can make a paste out of it. Just make sure that you do not let the animals ingest it.

Well, the bleach worked! I try never to use it, but got desperate and there hasn't been one single accident! Thanks, ladies!
