Circulation issue

I've always been a leg crosser and side sleeper and have my fair share of "dead limb" results. For the past few nights, I've woken up to some major pain in my left arm, from shoulder to fingers. It's very much like pins and needles, but deeper and... achy-er. In fact, this morning, my shoulder still feels sore, like it was put through a really rough workout.

I switch sides pretty regularly at night, and I've switched from my regular wedding band to my "pregnant wedding band", what with all this heat. I haven't noticed any circulation changes in any other limbs, so this arm is kind of freaking me out.

I don't have any obvious swelling, so I'm not sure whether to take this seriously or not. Either way, it's ANNOYING, and is interfering with my sleep!

Any thoughts?

I remember being waken up by dead limbs (not really, but like you described it...dead-ish limbs, def a circulation thing) when I was pregnant with my kids. Especially after I started to get big enough to have to haul myself around in bed, like maybe 20 weeks onward? Anyway, if I laid an arm across my body or slept with my arm bent, my forearm pointing away from me, it would happen. My hips and upper legs would go numb. It was wild.

I think it had something to do with the relaxin, that made my joints slip a little and settle on veins, maybe? OR maybe I was putting weird pressure on places in my body unknowingly? Idk. My bed, at the time, was quite plush and I remember it becoming uncomfortable...I wonder if firmer would be better? My bed now is starting to feel not supportive enough, it's plush too. Doesn't make sense that your softening and more sensitive body wouldn't like a softer bed, though.

Does it happen at any other time or just in bed?
