Hi Dmama, yes I've got a didelphic uterus and now have two lovely boys, one from each side. Everyone is different, some people have issues, some people don't. I suggest you find a doctor who has experience with this. My first birth would have gone differently if my OB was on top of things. By number two we knew more about it. Have you heard of Mullerian Anomalies group? http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MullerianAnomalies/Â Please don't get put off by some of the stories, it is important to remain positive. It is a good source of information.

I would recommend getting to know a good OB/GYN so that if you do need them at any point down the track they know your case well too. Having said that I gave up on my first obstetrician and went through the public system, but only because it's a small hospital and I felt confident that the doctors there were on top of things - I saw the same doctor throughout the pregnancy, so that was lucky. I was also monitored for incompetent cervix, which I found out with number 2 is a higher risk with didelphic uterus (and other Mullerian Anomalies). Feel free to ask me more but just remember everyone is different.

Best wishes!
