Empty follicles

Hi everybody
I am new to this group and my story is this have been tryin for 3 years (have pcos)and last dec tried ivf which ended up in empty follicles so cldnt go through with the cycle am trying again and my first appt is on aug 16th...anyone here got any experience with this...is there chance of this happenin again...any suggestions advise..i am totally freekin out plz help

Sorry you had to go though that. I have been there It is called EFS - empty follicle syndrome. It is very rare, I have had 3 (BFN) cycles since, with eggs. There are various theory's as to why this happened. I summarized it in post #40 in this thread:

The bottom line is that if you are under 40 and are not a poor responder, the chances of this happening again are rare. If the problem was with the trigger, it won't happen again.
How old are you, what was your protocol, including what did you take as a trigger, and how many follicles did they see in the u/s and what was your E2 level before er?
I would like to say - hugs - to wake up and have the RE tell me that they did not retrieve anything was horrible.
