Dd will be 8 mo next week. She has struggled with weight gain since about 2 mo. Ped has not been concerned because she has been following a semi-consistent growth line.
I started her on solids at 6 mo. She's not super interested, although she likes oatmeal and Pulrely O's (like Cheerios). Otherwise, I can usually get 1/2 a serving or less into her. She nurses 5-6 times during the day still. I wonder if my supply has dropped, though, because it's taking several minutes of concerted effort on her part to get a letdown. She mostly drinks only during the initial flow from a letdown and doesn't persist much after that. Whem I pump, I get about 3 oz. from this flow, so I would estimate she gets about 3-4 oz. (I know I can't judge completely by this, but in the past, it was a pretty accurate gauge for me. I need to do a weighed feeding soon.) She's just not interested in eating more than this from me or from solids.
Right now, she's at the 10th percentile on the WHO charts. She's been around the 10-15th percentiles, so this isn't really a change, but my worries about her weight gain are renewing with her continued refusal to eat. Any suggestions?
