postpartum leg cramps?

Is anyone else having leg cramps postpartum? Babe is 10 days old now and I woke with a nasty one this morning...my leg is still pretty achey! I thought they were supposed to stop with the pregnancy?? I had even taken magnesium the past couple of days. I had threats of cramps during pg but nothing near as bad as I have had in other pgnancies, so I was really surprised this morning to have my stretch turn into a nasty CRAMP!! :P

Anyone else or am I just an anomoly??

I wonder if you're also low in potassium. Have a banana along with your magnesium supplements?? Or maybe you're dehydrated. Eat some watermelon? I am an anomaly in that I have to get extra potassium and magnesium daily or else I end up with chronic pain and muscle cramps all over. Even my stomach cramps up and I get dehydrated no matter how much I drink. Hope it gets better.

I have had a few- not too bad but they weren't too bad in PG. I have tried to remember to keep taking my floradix and calcium and mag and haven't had any more except when I'm not supplementing.

Thanks gals - so far so good as I haven't had another. I have not been great at taking supplements so maybe that is why.
