I just had great success in wrapping each peach on my tree individually with paper lunch bags secured with twisty ties. Great harvest. Yummy beautiful, amazing.
My later harvest tree is completely exposed right now. It's rainy and I have a baby, so I was wondering if I could just throw a sheet over the entire tree and secure at the trunk to keep the birds away. I would guess the fruit will be ripe within a couple of weeks. Will my tree die? What if I pick a thin sheet that the light can kind of go through?
Nets haven't worked in the past. The birds just stick their beaks through the net, or fly through the smallest hole and get stuck inside.
I need help. I can hear the seconds ticking away before the birds come.
