UV swimsuit that doesn't cost a fortune?

We joined a pool this summer and I'm looking for a longsleeve longpants uv swimsuit that doesn't cost $40 or more. We have one but it is short sleeved and I worry about DD2's little arms and legs when we are at the pool. I've checked ebay and craigslist and no luck and I can't find any in any stores. DD2 is only 2 months old so too young for sunscreen. Mostly she just chills on my lap in the baby pool with DD1 but I still need to keep her out of the sun!

Have you checked Target? I've seen them there.

I don't think they have long sleeves and pants at Target (at least, none of ours do). The regular suits are SPF though.

I'd say if you have a short-sleeved one, you're doing pretty well. I just recently hunted for one if these, and the best full length outfit price, with hat, was $52, with most being $62-67. (Hat was around $20 of that). Plus we don't have a swim diaper yet, so that would be another $10ish. It's just crazy. I ended up buying the iswim outfit with the swim dipe built in. That plus hat was $40. But it has shorts and the sleeves aren't long (maybe 2/3? Hard to tell from pic). I just decided I'd use sunblock for remaining arms/legs.

No pants, but hats, long sleeved shirts and trunks. I got all three for DS and each item was $6.99, so $21 all day.

You can do a search for "stinger suit" as that's what the long sleeve, long pants are called.

I got one for my 6 yr old when she was a baby and she could wear it two summers. It was just a bit big the first one. Now my new baby (@3mos) can wear it, it's certainly big, but nice to cover her hands and feet too. It does the job and isn't falling off.

Good luck!

In Canada they are available from MEC: http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_d...=1278689144307

I actually just saw some at our Costco, so you can check there. It was one of those half suits (elbow and knee length). You can also check out the baby banz ones, I found one on babysteals the other week for $15. But I think they run $35-$40 normally.

We got baby girl one from Hanna Andersson, they are having their summer clearance right now, so only $15. They can be worn a little big so it will cover the arms and legs more than if it fit sungly.

It is to elbows and knees, but we put sunscreen on the exposed part of her arms and legs and a big UV hat from Target. We're in the water a lot and she has my fair skin, and so far, so good.

I found the long sleeved shirts on sale at gymboree for about $15 Land's end is having a sale on it's swim stuff and they have the long sleeved rash guards, too...

I know this isn't much less than your budget, but these are the best looking ones I have found http://www.coolibar.com/children-s-infant.html

I haven't bought one yet, as they seem $$$ to me too. . .but then again, I realized that they only cost as much as two bottles of the mineral sunscreen I am using.

Jack and Janie is having a sale on theirs. . .but they only have the shirts, not the full suits like above.

We have long sleeve rash guards from Gymboree, but the bottoms are just regular swim shorts.
