Who uses microfiber towels

i read somewhere that some people use the microfiber towels you would find in the automotive section or walmart, folded in three, as a doubler. So i tried it, so far, so good. But what is the benefit of this and how are you supposed to care for the microfiber towels? I got some training pockets from a lady that could be stuffed to make them more like a diaper. The liners she gave me did not hold enough and he wet through, so i went and got a few of these towels and tried them a few times. What are the benefits and draw backs of using these?

The drawbacks and benefits are similar to the all microfiber inserts.

Drawback--due to manmade nature, holds onto smells. Also not 'natural' if it matters to you. Doesn't so much to me.

Benefits: Holds lots more moisture than cotton or even hemp. Unlike the inserts, can be unfolded into 1 layer, so washes clean soooooo much easier, which means stink issues are down to a minimum. Haven't had stink issues with mine yet, although I do battle them with the inserts.

I'm also cool with the man made material as it goes inside something and doesn't touch the skin. It is great for making diapers. I buy mine at the dollar store.

Thanks for the tips ladies! i was going to fold them in three and stitch them closed so i do not have to fold them every time, but after hearing about the potential for stink issues, i'll leave them as is.
