Where the heck in the info?!?

I somehow cannot find online anything I need about homeschooling in our school district. I want to know the age cut off date, the date by which I need to notify of intent, and if there are forms I can print. Shouldn't all this be easily accessible? Any tips on how to find this?
I live in the Talawanda district in ohio if that matters. I know I could call, but this should be online, right?
Thanks

It goes by state, not school district. In Ohio, compulsory attendance starts at age 6. There's a lot of info for you here: http://ohiohomeeducators.net/

Thanks so much. I thought there would be info for each district.
I still think they should link to it or something

And risk making it easier to lose their federal funding? They don't want to give anyone any ideas or anything!

Even though you are choosing to homeschool, it is never a bad thing to try to build a relationship with your local school district, so calling them to get information might be a good idea, too. As your kid(s) get older, you may need some subject-specific enhancement, and your district may offer a dual-enrollment option, or you may want to participate in school sports. Even if those programs don't exist now, they might in the future, so it's good to be friendly (even if htey are not - it's the flies-with-honey theory!)!
