Rice Cooker - Page 2

I love my rice cooker. My DH loves rice and while I can cook many things rice isn't one of them. If I try to make rice without my rice cooker you could use it to glue bricks together! But with my rice cooker I get perfect rice all the time!

I used to use a steamer to cook rice, now I have a zojirushi fuzzy logic rice cooker and I love it. I still do pilafs on the stove top too. But the rice cooker was one of my best purchases.

I my rice cooker...I have a question for the posters who make oatmeal in theirs. How do you make it? I have a small cheapie cooker and have never used it for anything besides rice. In order to make oatmeal do you have to have a special setting on your cooker or can you use a basic one (with only the cook and warm settings)?

I grew up with one and I have had one since college. It is absolutely the most used small appliance in our kitchen. When visit Costa Rica, every household has one. If you like rice, you will never regret buying one.

I have used mine to cook steel cut oats. No special setting just add the recommended ratio of water to oats, press the button, and it is cooked perfectly everytime.
